Bomdila is the district headquarters of West Kameng Districts of Arunachal Pradesh. It is 345 kms from Guwahati, the Capital city of Assam, and 395 kms from Itanagar, the Capital Township of Arunachal Pradesh. It is situated at 8500 feet altitude.

The institution started functioning in the building of District Industries Centre with 71 students and 6 faculty members. It has been duly recognized by the UGC with permanent affiliation to Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Itanagar.
