Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery : About
Marc and Merri Fretwell are locals of Lake Lure, North Carolina, along with their son, Tristan. Originally from Chesterfield England, Marc learned to brew growing up from his father, Malcolm Fretwell. He brings his unique style to his recipes, and taste for English beer to North Carolina with styles of beer you won't find anywhere else in the area. Marc is not only in the brewing industry; he is an engineer in the power industry. Merri is a speech pathologist and special education teacher with a doctorate degree in Education.
