The Dallas Cowboys brought in Stephen Paea to bolster the middle of the Cowboys defensive line for the 2017 season. Paea comes in with a great understanding of Defensive Coordinator Rod Marinelli’s defensive schemes after spending the 2011-12 seasons under Marinelli’s tutelage with the Bears to start his career. Original- ly a second round draft pick (53rd overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft, Paea has started 42-of-79 games played in his career and recorded 125 tackles, 14 sacks and five passes defensed.

Stephen Paea (/ˈpaɪ.ə/ PY-ə; born May 11, 1988) is a New Zealand–born American football defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Oregon State University, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and has also played for the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns.
