When it comes to the fashion industry there’s a seemingly fine line between appropriation and appreciation and brands don’t always get it right. Case in point, Pharell Williams and Adidas’s latest collaboration inspired by Holi celebrations in India and Nepal.

Adidas is in trouble.

With their trademark three stripes, Adidas clothes cost a small fortune to buy and are promoted by world-famous names such as England skipper David Beckham, Olympic heptathlete Denise Lewis and Russian tennis player Anna Kournikova.

Many people have argued that the brand should have featured an athlete instead of the 21-year-old model.
