Puli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Puli is a small-medium breed of Hungarian herding and livestock guarding dog known for its long, corded coat. The tight curls of the coat, similar to dreadlocks, make it virtually waterproof. A similar looking, but much larger breed - also Hungarian - is the Komondor. The term used for a group of Puli is Pulik.

Grooming information for the Puli
The mythology surrounding the grooming of the corded Puli coat is truly an awesome creation. It is not, however, to be believed in most cases. The corded coat is the natural coat for the Puli, and most good coats of Hungarian breeding show a marked tendency toward the divisions appropriate for that coat, which we need only follow and maintain with our fingers.

Puli Breed Information
This corded wonder is a Hungarian herding breed who looks rather like an old-timey floor mop. He is a small to medium-size dog with a bounce in his step and a quick-thinking mind. A "sensibly suspicious" nature makes the Puli an excellent watchdog. His coat requires daily grooming, and it sheds.
