History of animal rights extremism from formation of the ALF through hunger strikes, to intimidation and harassment that have been the main feature of the last decade.

All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize, This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.

Animal rights is the idea that some, or all, non-human animals are entitled to the possession of their own lives and that their most basic interests.

The animal rights movement, sometimes called the animal liberation movement, animal personhood, or animal advocacy movement, is a social movement which seeks an end to the rigid moral and legal distinction drawn between human and non-human animals, an end to the status of animals as property, and an end to their use in the research, food, clothing, and entertainment industries.

For those who are not involved with animals, the concept of danger from the humane movement's organized lunatic fringe may still seem remote, but to people who are daily involved with animals through professional, scientific, sporting, livestock or other pursuits, the tactics used by these radicals to push their views and raise money are no longer dismissed lightly.
